Description
Old House - If Walls Could Talk by Barbara Griffin
This old house has seen better days and there are many stories behind its walls. It is gone today but many memories live on. Firstly the man that built it raised his family there and then sold it to my grandfather. His family grew up and moved on and then over the years four other families lived in the house. It has seen courtships, weddings, births, parties, happiness, sadness, cold, and even death, So to say it has a story to tell is an understatement. It has at least seven families stories to tell! So I felt I had to paint it to preserve those memories! The original is not for sale. Prints available by contacting me and on this site.

I love your description. I always feel a sense of loss when old houses fall to disrepair. What a magnificent homestead this must have been. L

Like this a lot, somehow the perspective, the lines and angles match the rickety old house. I'm not very good at decribing paintings, but anyway, really nice work. v,f,
